What does a primer do? This is a foundation primer that you use after skin care and before makeup. This helps foundation go on smoother, last longer and (this specific one) gives you a natural, radiant look. I have normal to combo skin (slightly oily in my t-zone), but I find this primer does actually help my foundation stay on longer and give me a very healthy glow. Surprisingly, this primer does not make me look greasy at all. I don't see a huge difference as soon as I apply it, but after I let my foundation sit for a few minutes, I can see it shine through. The texture is light and feels like a moisturizer. It does not have a typical silicone primer feeling. You can't even feel this product on your face, and one pump will cover your whole face. This primer is a very pale yellow, but will not show color on any skin tone, so don't worry about it changing the color of your foundation. Overall, I give this product a 5/5. It feels hydrating, which is great when your skin is feeling dull and dry. It helps my makeup stay on, and gives me a natural, not greasy, sheen to my skin. Not willing to pay that much for a primer? That's fine! A great drugstore dupe is the L'oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. ($9.99 at Wal-Mart and can be found at any drugstore) The L'oreal primer does actually give a little bit more of a glow, but definitely isn't too much. ( Don't worry, you won't look like a disco ball). I think it wears very pretty on the skin is a great dupe.

Find this product at MAC stores, counters and the MAC website.
