Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE VOLUPTÉ - Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick SPF 15

I purchased my first Yves Saint Laurent Lipstick after hemming and hawing about whether or not I wanted to spend $35 on a luxury lipstick. Finally, the Rouge Volupte Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick in 'Lingerie Pink' (7) was mine!
Per usual, the daunting task of picking a shade was difficult, and expensive but worth all the money! I predicted I have a few similar shades to 'Lingerie Pink' which I do, however the formula and texture of this lipstick is absolutely remarkable. The color pay off has immaculate pigmentation and the application of these lipsticks, are smooth and creamy and moisturizing and glide on like butter! For someone who has very dry lips, I was pleasantly surprised. This lipsticks leaves a sheen, and glossy type of finish. There's not much to complain about here with these lipsticks. I loved this color and I always get compliments when I wear it out. There is a slight scent to these lipsticks that tend to give off a strange gasoline type aroma that lingers.
These lip colors vary in colors and the intensity can be built up with multiple coats of application. The formula does not settle into any lines in my lips and even gives the effect of plumping my lips up as well! I have to admit, 90% of my motivation for purchasing this lipstick was the packaging. The beautiful gold-case is carefully carved into the designer logo along with the color in the background. It's definitely a lipstick to be appreciated when placed upon the top of your vanity or retrieved from your purse for a quick touchup. This is ultimately one of my favorite lipsticks ever, and by far one of the most glamorous ones.
