Lorac Pro Palette 2

I've actually had this Lorac Pro Palette for months, and I've never been so inspired to write in such detail about it. I got mine from Kohl's for $42 with a mini eye primer included. (not pictured) (See my favorite primers post for more detail about that particular primer.)I love the sleek, lightweight packaging of the palette and the mirror on the inside of it. The fact you get 16 generous shades, half matte, half shimmer made this palette a worthy investment for me. My main motivation for buying this palette was primarirly for the contrast of colors you get. This palette takes your from day to night, night to day, and has every shade of color that's appealing to the eye. Although all of the colors swatch beautifully and are fully pigmented, for months now, I've been fascinated with the color 'Navy' which is a gorgeous, matte blue shade. Essentially, I convinced myself I needed this palette specifically because of that shade.

I've used most of, if not all-of these colors and first off, I have to say I was very pleased with the pigmentation of these shadows. They all have excellent color payoff. I actually can't do my makeup without this palette! These matte colors are some of the best I've ever encountered. Some of my favorites for crease blending and transitioning are cool gray, lt. brown, and nectar. While the shimmery shades are incredibly soft and pigmented, the mattes are not chalky at all. Although I must say, some of the darker colors do have fallout. The metallic colors packed on the lid, are so beautiful and easy to apply. This palette has something for everyone. For the easy-going, simple and laid back person who wants a soft, natural looking daytime eye to the more complex, and involved individual who wants something more intricate and smokey or colorful. This palette is stunning.
