Not long after the Bliss skincare line launched at Kohl's did we recieve these awesome gratis bags filled with Bliss skincare. I'm familiar with a few of the products, as I have used them before (including the facewash) but I was excited to give the others a try. I was primarily interested in the Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask solely for the fact that it's a foaming-mouse mask.

This 3.4 fl bottle runs for about $54, and can be found in most department and beauty retailers.

As currently described by Blissworld.com,

The fabulous foaming facewash is:

•oil-free, 2-in-1 gel cleanser and exfoliator effectively removes dirt and makeup •gently exfoliates with perfectly soft, round exfoliator beads •calms the skin with soothing botanicals A two-in-one oil-free exfoliating wash for all skin types, this fresh, fruity cleanser contains rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile in a non-stripping formula that re-balances even the most unbalanced skin. 6.7oz/200ml

This cleanser is generally a straight forward product that contains exfoliating beads to not only cleanse, but gently slough away any dead, dry or excess skin. The smell reminds me of a tropical island and the texture tends to lather nicely on skin. It doesn't foam, and isn't creamy or milky. This is definitely recommened to anyone with normal- oily-combination type skin. The exfoliating beads and loads of fragrance in this cleanser could irritate and breakout anyone with sensitive or dry skin. The blurb on the back of this bottle reads:

I use this on days I feel especiallycongested, greasy or oily. Washed all off, my skin feels cleansed and radiant and is left smelling fresh. It feels a bit like gritty toothpaste on the skin because it's loaded with slightly coarse granules. This cleanser did not break me out, or over strip my skin and the physical granules are an added bonus to this cleanser especially on days I'm feeling lazy enough to actually exfoliate. I feel like this is a product I would use on a frequent basis, depending on my skin.

So tonight I decided my skin needed a little pick me up and I decided to finally review this mask. It instructs you to massage a generous layer of the mask on to damp skin, wait 5 minutes and rinse well.

I was intruiged by the consistency and foamy lather this appears to turn into on skin. Bliss describes this mask as "a super quick fix for dull, tired and sallow, 'I'm sick of my skin' skin. Engineered to mimic the effects of our spa's famous Triple Oxygen Treatment Facial in seconds. This fabulous complexion formula uses every 'tech' in the book to give you fresher, younger-looking skin. 3.4 oz"

This mask claims to:

•deliver oxygen to the skin with innovative Fluid02 technology •lighten, and tighten the skin with the most active powerful form of Vitamin C available •protect cells from free radical damage with powerful antioxidants

What I found after pumping the mask on my hand is that it felt more like a foaming cleanser rather than a mask. I was still fascinated and willing to give it a go however.

The small peachy colored gel is what the mask looks like when you first pump it out. It smells fruity and peachy and has a bit of an irredesence to it. After a minute or so, you can see the lather works itself up to a frothy texture.

Initially applying this to my skin, I have to be honest, the sensation was weird. It felt as if bugs were crawling on my face due to the bubbly texture. I was unable to rinse the frothy texture off in 5 minutes as instructed, because the bubbles ended up absorbing into my skin. I'm disappointed and confused in terms of what exactly this mask claims to do for the skin? My skin did not feel any different afterwards, besides slightly tighter. I did not notice my skin looking glowy or radiant. (My vitamin c oil does a better job of brightening my skin than this did!) And any product that has that amount of surfacting agents in it, (what makes this product bubbly and is usually used in bath products such as bubble bath and shower gels) simply cannot be good for any skin type?! This product does advise using a toner and moisturizer after which I admit I did not do, but I think both, my toner and moisturizer would have a better effect on my skin than what this did! This product seems to be more of an eye-catcher rather than an actual effective skin care mask. I may as well have sat in the bath tub and put bubbles on my face. What's more disappointing is the price. I will finish this mask purely for the amusement, but will not repurchase.
